Cast Aluminum Stove Top Espresso Maker

$640.00

The Anticline, a limited edition stove top espresso maker crafted from cast aluminum, features undulating contours that capture the dynamic quality of geological formations. Its flowing lines evoke a sense of movement and fluidity, mirroring the continuous curvature of an anticline. Both the pot and the geological anticline express a balance of tension and release, suggesting potential energy and the interplay of forces. This shared vitality highlights the connection between the sculptural form of the vessel and the natural formation it reflects.

Each piece is hand-made and assembled in Brooklyn.

Cultivation Objects was founded in 2020 and is the studio practice of Nathaniel Wojtalik. The work typically revolves around bridging the gap between an art practice and functional design, relying on a narrative structure rooted in human empathy. In an ever-expanding effort to create a more sustainable practice, he often experiments in lifting atypical materials out of the waste stream and including them as core aspects of the objects.

Previously, Nathaniel has had international recognition as an artist, showing sculptural, sound and video installations at such prestigious venues as IRCAM, Berkeley Art Museum, Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art and Coimbra Botanical Gardens.
