The Brooklyn Stroll
A day long, 9-mile community walk through Brooklyn's most beautiful historic neighborhoods
Starting and ending at Again Vintage, The Brooklyn Stroll is an invitation to slow down, wander together, and rediscover the art of neighboring.
Over six hours and nine miles, we'll walk the sidewalks of Bed Stuy, Fort Greene, Brooklyn Heights, Carroll Gardens, Park Slope, and Prospect Park— pausing at five connection points designed to foster genuine conversation and lasting community bonds.
This isn't a parade or a race. It's a meandering exploration of the blocks that make Brooklyn extraordinary, and a chance to meet other people who call them home.
What to Expect
Meet Your Neighbors
In an era of digital connection and increasing isolation, The Brooklyn Stroll creates space for the kind of serendipitous, unhurried conversations that used to happen naturally on stoops and sidewalks (and is an homage to Again Vintage’s humble beginnings as a Bed Stuy stoop sale).
We'll share the sidewalks in small groups, and share stories— building the foundation for a more connected Brooklyn.
Explore Brooklyn's Beauty
From Bed-Stuy's brownstones to Brooklyn Heights' landmarked Federal and Greek Revival mansions, from Carroll Gardens' unique deep front yards to Park Slope's Victorian grandeur, this route celebrates the craft, history, and intentional design woven into Brooklyn's neighborhoods. Every block tells a story.
Celebrate the Everyday Ritual
Walking is the most human of rituals— simple, accessible, grounding. Like Again Vintage, The Brooklyn Stroll honors the every day by elevating it into something communal and celebratory. We move at conversation pace, leaving space for wonder, delight, and the kind of presence that only comes when we slow down together.
Build Lasting Connection
At each of our five connection points— Fort Greene Park, Brooklyn Heights Promenade, Carroll Park, Prospect Park's Grand Army Plaza, and back at Again Vintage— we'll pause for intentional exchanges: connecting with others through guided prompts, doing light stretches to ensure our stroll-safety, eating together, and more.
And all socializing and activities are completely optional— you are free to have the stroll that you desire.

Who is The Brooklyn Stroll for?
Everyone.
The Brooklyn Stroll is for the longtime Bed-Stuy resident who remembers when Myrtle Ave looked different, and the newcomer still learning which bodega makes the best chopped cheese. It's for the Park Slope parent pushing a stroller, the Crown Heights artist seeking inspiration, and the Carroll Gardens nonna who's lived on the same block for sixty years. It’s for the Bushwick girlies, the Fort Greene bookstore owner, the Cobble Hill architect, and the Williamsburg transplant curious about the rest of Brooklyn. It's for couples looking for a weekend adventure, solo walkers seeking community, teenagers wanting to explore beyond their neighborhood, and older adults who remember Brooklyn before the changes.
We welcome families with kids of all ages—there's room for scooters and strollers on the sidewalks. We welcome fast walkers and slow strollers, early risers and leisurely brunchers, extroverts and quiet observers. The walking portion of the route is around 3 hours and the “resting in beautiful parks” portion is 1.5 - 2 hours. So if you can spend 5 hours on your feet (with plenty of sitting breaks), you're invited.
The Brooklyn Stroll is for anyone who believes that Brooklyn is better when we know our neighbors, that the best discoveries happen on foot, and that community is built one conversation, one block, and one shared experience at a time.
All paces welcome. All ages welcome. All Brooklyn welcome.

Yes! The Brooklyn Stroll is a sidewalk walk, which means strollers are absolutely welcome. We've designed the route to stick to pedestrian-friendly sidewalks and paths as much as we can throughout all nine miles.
That said, a few things to keep in mind: Brooklyn's sidewalks can be uneven in spots, and you'll encounter curbs at every intersection. We recommend a sturdy, all-terrain stroller if you have one. You'll also be navigating crowds at times (especially in busier areas like Brooklyn Heights and Park Slope), so plan for some maneuvering.
All five connection points— Fort Greene Park, Brooklyn Heights Promenade, Carroll Park, Prospect Park/Grand Army Plaza, and Again Vintage— are stroller-accessible, with plenty of space to rest and regroup.
And remember: all paces welcome. Go at whatever speed works for your family.
-
No. You will be sent a link to a map of the route so that you can go at your own pace/with your group.
We have specifically found the most calm + beautiful blocks for our stroll, but there will be times where you are sharing your path with other walkers, runners, etc.
Please plan to stay on sidewalks and paths designated for pedestrians and be alert and cautious at all times.
When you are on city streets, obey all rules for pedestrians.
Your safety is your responsibility!
-
As we all know, public bathrooms in Brooklyn are hard to come by!
There are public bathrooms at each of the park stops along the route, or you are welcome to dart into coffee shops/restaurants along the route to ask if you can use their bathroom. If you do that, always offer to buy something to contribute to their small business and to thank them for their generousity.
